I can't help but agree about the cakes! And the hot chocolate! But what I like most is being able to watch the world go by in the high street, while relaxing in the parlour - very aptly named, you could be in your own cosy little room. The staff are also efficient and don't rush you on, considering they're busy but small.
Peggotty's knows how to do its thing!!! Great cakes, really fresh and moist, and lovely tea and hot chocolate depending on how naughty you're feeling. This is one of my favourites, especially come the winter time when there's nothing like a bit of cheeky comfort food to warm your cockles.
I needn't say anymore really! But I will, Peggoty's is one of those tiny hidden gems that nestle in most High Streets, easy to miss but worth finding. Through a doorway with a lovely welcoming message, the first sight that greets your ascent to the parlour, is the table full of home made cakes at the top of the stairs! I resisted this time, but I shan't again, if the heavenly hot chocolate is anything to go by!
