I began eating at the Dot Cafe in January, when house-hunting, and visited it every time I visited Rochester. Since moving from London I have made it my regular 'go to' place for good food and friendly & cheery service. I would recommend it to anyone who is seeking an excellent and speedy lunch at a very reasonable price. The cakes and soup are worth their own mention but all of the fare is excellent. Check out their once-monthly evening events, too.

If you are looking for a café in Rochester, lunch in Rochester or a place to eat in Rochester, Dot Café is a fantastic café serving great food at reasonable prices. Here at Dot Café, we pride ourselves on being a 'community' hub and a place where you can either come to meet friend, or sit down and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee or something to eat on your own. We are set to become the focus of local life and events in Rochester and everything the city has to offer.
Dot Café has a café area where you can sit down and enjoy our homemade food, from freshly baked cakes and cupcakes, to our famous full English breakfasts, also known as "grill ups". We do not fry anything here at Dot Café, so come and enjoy a fantastic English breakfast, guilt free!!
Our food is great quality and tastes great! Why not come by and see for yourself? A takeaway service is also available. We serve sandwiches, rolls, baguettes, freshly made soup, and speciality teas and coffees.
We are also an internet café, with numerous computers, all with access to the internet and you can also use our printer and photocopier for a reasonable price.
Dot Café is also a source of community information; we have a stand displaying local events and magazines where you can find out about local events and what's on in Rochester and the surrounding Medway Towns.
We also have tables and chairs outside where you can sit and watch the world go by, sipping on a delicious cup of coffee. We are soon to introduce some big comfy sofas, where you can relax with a magazine or the paper and soak up the friendly atmosphere over a hot chocolate, with marshmallows and cream! Yummy!
So why not pop in to Dot Café on Rochester High Street today? We are a family run business serving delicious food at a great price. And if you are looking for a takeaway, why not give us a call on 01634 400 402, place your order, and pop in and pick it up?
We look forward to seeing you soon!

ReportChicken and Cranberry is a great combination, if you fancy any other combination that is now on our Menu, just ask. As all our food is freshly prepared and cooked to order we can juggle things to the customers satisfaction. Have you tried Sausage and Marmalade!!!!??? The Lemon Meringue is my favourite too.
Popped in for a quick lunchtime snack on my own.. A light and airy cafe, and no queues or tables being squashed close together like in Tony Lorenzos. I had homemade soup and a bread roll - absolutely delicious. Friendly staff and newspapers to top it off. I'll be back soon!
ReportWe have a large selection of Homemade soups from Pleasing Peas to O'Mighty Veg or Zesty Tom, Taste of India. Remember soup is for all times, not just for Winter :) All our soups made by local lady Gemma or, as she prefers to be called Soupy Loopy
I would definitely recommend having the cooked breakfast here - My husband and I popped in yesterday to have their "Big Breakfast" - well, it's the best one I've eaten in a long time. I also had the coffee of the the month - Irish Cream flavour - lovely. The welcome you get there is friendly and inviting, so pop in, you'll be pleased you did!

This is an excellent coffee shop and internet cafe on the Rochester high street. The full English breakfast they freshly make here is fantastic and only £4 using fine quality bacon, sausages, free range eggs and quality bread for the toast. The atmosphere at Dot Cafe is always welcoming and the service is friendly.

ReportIs your printer broken? Is your mum's printer broken? Is the word doc on the local library's computer incompatible with the document you need desperately to print off? It happened to me just now and thankfully, one quick call to Dot Cafe (details found on this site, incidentally!) ascertained they had everything I needed and I was there and back, with my document, inside of 20 minutes! Cheers!
ReportGlad to have been able to help. We have full printing facilities and various versions of Office to suit all. Printing from just 10p per page and Internet use just £3.00 per hour charged at 5 minute intervals. Hope to see you again soon. Why not stop for Coffee and a chat next time.
If you're looking for a hearty feed then you can't go wrong with Dot Cafe in Rochester High Street. Delicious thick cut sandwiches and steaming jacket potatoes make for a satisfying and cheap lunch, and the all day breakfasts are perfect for soaking up that hangover.
