Thief sentenced after stealing python from Chatham pet shop

A THIEF who swiped a snake from a Chatham pet shop has been ordered to undertake community service.

Barry Pozzoli stole the Spider Royal Python from Pet Aqua Spectacular in the High Street on Sunday.
The 23-year-old was arrested at his home in Strover Street, Gillingham, on Tuesday afternoon and was charged with the theft of the creature, valued at £375.
He admitted making off with the snake and appeared at Medway Magistrates Court yesterday, where he was sentenced to 80 hours community service.
