Police are appealing for information following a suspicious incident in Roman Way, Strood, at around 11.20pm on Wednesday, 12 July, 2012.

An investigation was begun by officers when a caller stated seeing someone, maybe a youth, being put into a car, possibly against their will.

DCI Jon Clayden said: 'We are keen to hear from anyone who can help us with this investigation. We have not had any reports of missing people and we are keen to hear from any parents who may have found their teenager late at night in the Strood area and taken them home.

Clearly this is a concerning incident and we are keen to find out exactly what has occurred. We are now in the process of examining CCTV and are following-up on a number of lines of enquiry."

If anyone can help police with this investigation, please contact Kent Police on 101, quoting reference 11*1872 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111
