A man walked away from an overturned plane at Rochester Airport yesterday afternoon.

The light aricraft, a Cessna two seater, turned upside when attempting to land and aircraft investigators have been called in to find out why.

Reports say that the ground wasn't wet and neither was it very windy, so any possible reasons for the incident are unclear as yet. The airport is open and operating as usual.

Kelvin Carr, the airport manager, confirmed that the unamed pilot was unhurt.
