Joe Apostol is set to perform on BBC talent show The Voice
Joseph Apostol, 21, from Gillingham, studies at MidKent College and has already performed several times to staff and fellow students.
And he will try to win over some of the biggest names in music - Sir Tom Jones, Jessie J, will.i.am and Danny O'Donoghue - when millions of viewers watch him perform in front of them on Saturday night.
The four judges will listen to Joseph before deciding whether to pick him for their team and take him to the next stage in the show.
Joseph, who performed at the opening of MidKent's new soundproof live room last November, is no stranger to receiving recognition for his vocal talents.
Crowds gave him a standing ovation after he sung at the annual Student Awards ceremony in January.
Head of creative and visual arts at MidKent's Medway campus, Louise Molton, said: "Joseph is a really amenable, lovely student.
"He's very humble in terms of his own vocal skills but we're confident he can go on to achieve great things in his career.
"Appearing on The Voice is a fantastic opportunity for Joseph and we're all behind him."
The Voice airs on BBC One this Saturday (4 May) at 8.05pm.
