The Gills have until Friday to pay their bills or face eviction from their training ground.
Medway Council have given Gillingham FC until Friday to pay an outstanding £34,000 worth of rent and utility bills or they will begin legal proceedings to evict them.
According to reports, this is the first chairman Paul Scally has heard of the siutation, which dates back to 2008. However, Cllr. Alan Jarrett, as reported by BBC Sport, says that they have tried to negotiate with the club without success. He recognises that the club are an important part of the local community and says it's a shame it has come to this.
