Had an excellent, relaxed and generous meal at Cumin Club last week. Specialty dishes were unusual and carefully designed. Traditional dishes were authentic, with an emphasis on spices rather than heat. Atmosphere downstairs was very busy and cheerful, upstairs rather quieter and more restrained. Service quite informal but very professional. We decided easily that this will be a regular night out

A good place for a reunion meal, as on Monday - Thursday, they do a set price bargain of £10.95 for starter, main, rice and nan - with only a few exceptions on the menu. The prawn puree was lovely, not too hot, and the mushroom rice and chicken tikka masalla as good as I've had anywhere else.
This Indian on the High Street has to be one of the nicest around. The service is friendly and I've never had to wait long for my food to arrive. Saying that, when it does get to the table it tastes fresh, rather than zapped or reheated. The prices are very reasonable and I would recommend it to anyone nearby who likes a good curry.
