Rochester coffee shop apologises over breastfeeding: Have your say

A debate's been raging over at the Rochester Coffee Co's Facebook page (https://http://tinyurl.com/4t993) after a member of their staff asked a mother to use a toilet to breastfeed her baby.

The coffee shop has apologised to the mother, saying it was a "moment of lapsed judgement".

But do you think Rochester has enough family-friendly facilities for mothers and babies? Or should the council and shops be doing more to make life easier for breastfeeding mothers?

Breast is best, whatever location you find yourself in. The nutritional benefit for baby and the bond between mother and baby during this time are both very important. We at Dot Cafe welcome breast feeding mothers at anytime. We display posters promoting this action and stating that you are more than welcome to breast feed in our friendly Cafe. Hope to see you soon at Dot Cafe, 172 High Street, Rochester soon where good manners and a decent conversation come as part of our standard service and is free of charge:)
