Medway councillor Vince Maple and DJ Glen Hogwood spun non-stop 80s hits in 24 hours on Friday, raising valuable funds for the Demelza Hospice.

Glenn and Vince or, Hairy Vince and the Hog!
They began at 1am on Friday morning and kept going around the clock until 1am Saturday, playing all the top hits from the 80s (the best decade for music and clothes, let's be honest. Yes, I have a straight face: I was there, I know!) They kicked off with Start by The Jam and closed with Dennis Waterman's Minder theme, I Could Be So Good For You.
The St. George Hotel in New Road very kindly hosted the event, which was organised go raise funds for the hospice, who support families and young people to add life to days when days cannot be added to life.
Vince said: "Many thanks from me and 80sLegends to everyone who came and supported. Special thanks to Michael Bucksey for his security assistance, Linda Fiddyment for being a superstar raffle director, Lindsay FabUglass for the kind donation of a raffle prize, Absolute 80s for the donation of tickets for auction, Boma Bowman for transportation, the team at St. George Hotel, who hosted the event.
We had around a hundred people pop in and out the event, together with hundreds of supportive tweets and Facebook messages, so thanks to everyone who did that. We survived the 24 hours, played 368 80's "hits" and to date have raised over £3000 to help Demelza Hospice for Children.
You still have time to donate by logging onto www.justgiving.com/hairy-vince-the-hog or by texting HVHO80 and the amount you wish to donate (i.e HVHO80 5 to donate £5) to 70070
On behalf of all the families your money will help, Thank You."
