  • Petrol Queues in Medway - any near you?

By jayenolan at 11:09 on 30/03/12
The Co-op Texaco garage on City Way, circa 9.30am this morning.
Panic buying? Is everyone at it or is it all being exaggerated?  Bearing in mind that any strike action has to give seven days notice (aren't we civilised?) I drove around (not too far to be honest - don't want to run out of petrol) to see if there were any major queues. I found a small one at the Co-op garage on City Way (see above) and am reliably informed, by the ever reliable @LozEWright on Twitter, that Morrisons in...

Reports say that the ground wasn't wet and neither was it very windy, so any possible reasons for the incident are unclear as yet. The airport is open and operating as usual. Kelvin Carr, the airport manager,...

Peter Reeds and Dave Wise are among nine local artists contributing to a new exhibition examining the impact of an Estuary airport in North Kent. The aim of the artists, collectively known as the The No Thames Estuary Airport Artists Group, is to counter the developers' glossy artist impressions and visual spin surrounding the proposed airport in the Thames estuary, and show its real effect in paint, photography and video....
