If you love Indian food you must try the Nepalese version, it is wonderful. I have had the privilege of knowing some of these people personally, they are very welcoming and loyal. They will do their uppermost to ensure you have a good experience in their company. These traits come across in this restaurant. The food is similar to Indian but has a different slant, is very tasty and I now prefer it. Generally their cuisine is very hot but for the public they have toned it down somewhat. But it you're brave enough they will gladly serve it as it should be! Excellent.

This recently-opened place (it had been Chinese for some time previously) is actually very good, and the staff genuinely want to please: you can feel that. Nepalese cuisine is similar to Indian, but generally milder yet still delicious, and I think this is probably the best Nepalese place I have yet found. I've been around this business a long time, first discovering this style at a place in Marylebone Road, London some thirty years ago. Gurkha Cuisine is definitely worth a try (but note that they are not open at lunchtime, only evenings) and if you're lucky one of the young ladies might even perform a traditional dance!
