FOUR people from Medway have been arrested in the latest week of a county-wide burglary crackdown by Kent Police.

Ashley Robinson, 28, of Trafalgar Street, Gillingham, was arrested minutes after stealing a bag of money from a car parked in Grafton Avenue, Rochester, last Friday.

He was charged with theft from a motor vehicle and remanded to court, where was sentenced to 116 days in prison.

Three days later, a 21-year-old woman and 18-year-old man, both from Chatham, were arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods. Both have been bailed until 21 March pending further investigation.

The next day, officers arrested a 35-year-old from Rochester on the same charge. They have been bailed until March.

Kent Police officers made the arrests as part of the third week Operation Castle - a crackdown on burglary and vehicle crime in the county.
