Tuttle.101 at the George Vaults

I attended my first Tuttle.101 event yesterday and would thoroughly recommend attendance to anyone else seeking inspiration from and inter-action with, like-minded souls who can bring a fresh perspective to your creativity.

A chinwag over coffee at Tuttle Medway.
With the London Tuttle Club in full swing and meeting regularly, Carl Jeffrey, aka Fellow Creative, felt a similar gathering of the Social Media Cafe was needed in Medway. The Tuttle Club is an informal get together aiming to effect collaborations in person and on line, by opening channels of communication and sharing ideas.
This is not your usual business networking event, it’s much cosier than that, a social occasion bringing people together via outlets like Twitter, over a coffee or tea. With free Wi-fi there’s plenty of scope to discuss and show existing projects or applications for making life and work simpler (I learned a bit about AudioBoo – thanks Carl! Whether I’ll ever be brave enough to use it is an altogether different matter) or just chat about life in general. It’s highly likely that somewhere in the conversation, a spark will alight and give rise to some long-term innovation or genius collaboration.
Scroll down on this blog post here, for a video of Tuttle founder Lloyd Davis chatting to Chris Dalby on the origins of the Tuttle Club. And for where the name came from, there’s a video clip here (with a major cast that's well worth watching!)
Keep an eye on the What’s Happening box and I’ll let you know when the next one is due to take place.

Could you please tell me if there is another Tuttle.101 planned in the next few weeks? It sounds like it was a great event!

ReportHi Jaye,
I'm so glad you enjoyed your first trip to Tuttle.101, thank you so much for helping to spread the word with such an awesome review. It was a pleasure to meet you and I look forward to our next opportunity to chat over tea.
Sure I started a ball rolling in 2009 with a vague hope of such genius collaborations but I certainly can't take credit for what you experienced on Monday. Tuttle.101 certainly isn't owned or run by me or a even a sponsor, its owned and managed by the community – at this point I have to say that James @BecomeKnown, Alastair @alastairwood and Natasha @NatashaSexton made the March event happen – cheers James and supporters =)
I'd certainly recommend checking out audioBoo.fm, you'd be a natural I'm sure and its what all the cool journalists and narrative folk are using =)
I hope we both make the next one!
Positive thoughts and Paulo Coelho proverbs,
