Seven out of the eleven finalists in the Medway Business Awards 2010 are based in Rochester!
-
2BGreen made the final eleven in the Medway Business Awards
The competition is now in its 26th year and is as fierce as ever. Launched to help the growth of small businesses in the wake of Chatham Dockyard closing, it was subsequently opened up to larger companies. These will all be hoping to emulate last year’s winner, Passmores Portable Buildings Ltd, based in Strood.
So without further ado, the nominees are:
Allbits Plumbing and Bathroom Supplies, Strood – purveyors of all your bathroom needs, they’re now into their 23rd year of trading.
2BGreen, Rochester High Street – making it easier for you to be kind to your surroundings, with products that have little or no impact on the environment, be they recycled, Fair Trade, organic or eco-friendly.
Bedfont Scientific, Rochester Airport Industrial Estate – if you’re an asthma sufferer or a smoker, these are the breath analyser guys dedicated to improving your lives, with a reputation stretching across the globe.
Impreza Computer Services, Medway City Estate – managed to expand during the past year, supporting and building websites; they also find time for two days every three months to donate an engineer to a local charity!
Motorbitz Motor Parts, Medway City Estate – carriers of spare parts to just about any make and model of car you care to mention, they consistently exceed customer expectations.
Waterman Offshore, Strood – an engineering pedigree recognised by the Historic Dockyard last year, with a special 25th anniversary award; their expertise lies in the fabrication of steel structures.
Westwell Developments, Frindsbury - been to a rain-hit Wembley event? Not get wet? That’s because of Westwell Developments, engineering the pivoting roof to fit!
The other companies are Lighthouse Safety Training, from Rainham, GPC Clear Solutions in Chatham, The Fountain Workshop, Historic Dockyard and Gainwell Futures, Chatham. The ceremony naming the winner will be held in the Banqueting Suite at Priestfield Stadium on Friday. Good luck to all our local firms.
