We’re being spoilt for live music this weekend, with two big events taking place featuring local artists.

At The Arethusa Centre on Saturday 18th, the Antfest 2010 opens up from 2pm, featuring, amongst others, The Archie Wah Wahs, Escape from Alcatraz, Fall of the Forest and My Last Mistake. There will also be DJs in attendance and you can find further information on the Facebook group Antfest2010.
The bandstand in Victoria Gardens near UCA will be the venue for live bands and musicians on Sunday 19th – there’s no confirmation of the acts who’ll be appearing though – it’s going to be a surprise!
The event is the afternoon family picnic organised by Tuttle and Tipple.101 attendees, Steve Keevil and Medway Eyes, entitled PicNibble.101, so pray for nice weather and bring along the family anytime between 2pm and 7.30pm. You can find full details in the What's On guide.
In the run up to those events, Porch Swing Blues are in attendance at The Man of Kent on Wednesday at 8.30pm and the Jam Night is on at The Eagle Tavern from 9pm.
Thursday sees Tener Duende at The Man of Kent from 8.3pm and The Soundcasters at The Eagle Tavern from 9pm.
The Donn Barcott Trio will play Ye Arrow between 2pm – 4pm (unless he turns out to be one of the PicNibble101 surprises of course!) At 4pm, Firewater are at The Two Brewers and in the evening, both with 8pm starts, areHarvey Hooper Walker & Crispe at The Eagle Tavern and the Jam Night at The Man of Kent.
