Shipple 101: All aboard Light Vessel 21!

The Tipple101 event which took place on the LV21 light vessel was the most successful of the Tuttle101 ventures yet, with over 60 people in attendance. 

The unusual setting was a huge success, and the sense of past history gives the lightship a unique feel that can’t fail to inspire; I’m sure it won’t be the last time such an event is held there. It wasn’t just Rochester and Medway residents enjoying the ambience either – word of the whole Tuttle/Tipple experience is spreading, with many making the trip from elsewhere in Kent.  There was encouragement too, from Chris Lee Clark of the British Library, stating it was “compelling space and initiative”.

Following the Open National Lighthouse Day on LV21 at the weekend, we also had representatives from the shipping and fishing industries making a return to the ship to take part!
