How will you celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee? Or won't you?

Queen Elizabeth 11 celebrates 60 years on the throne this year and we want to know what Rochester People will be doing to celebrate.

We've a lovely long bank holiday weekend at our disposal, with a Medway River Festival on Saturday 2nd, The Big Lunch happening nationally on Sunday 3rd, and Monday and Tuesday available for street parties and general merriment. Will you be heading off to London, organising your own entertainment locally, or staying in and watching it all unfold on the television? Let us know in our poll here. Maybe you're not particularly patriotic and simply not feeling the love for the monarchy - so do you have an anti-monarchy event planned? You can let us know that too.

If you are organising a street party, what food will you be serving? Cold buffet style or going for a hot traditional dish, such as fish'n'chips or curry (or stir fry - this has topped chicken tikka masalla as the nation's favourite dish now!) And what will you wash it down with? Cider, champers or a nice cup of tea? Again, we're that nosy, we want you to tell us in these polls here and here!

If you have got an event organised, please do share it in our What's On guide - I'll be doing a round up nearer the time, so feel free to add yours if it's open to the public.

For anyone going to a Jubilee celebration who fancies wearing some red, white and blue accessories, how about adding a touch of very Royal class with a fabulous Jubilee fascinator. Check out our lovely Jubilee fascinators here and look the part for the celebrations!: http://tinyurl.com/bpypkoc

I can see them being a big favourite actually, more so than savoury snacks :)
