The Quo, who have been making music for five decades, will appear in Medway on Wednesday 17 July as part of their upcoming world tour.
The band, which features founding members Francis Rossi and Rick Parfitt, last performed at the concerts in 2010, 2008 and 2005.
Medway Council's portfolio holder for community services, Howard Doe, said: "Status Quo remain one of the most popular acts ever to perform at the concerts and they always create an amazing atmosphere in the Castle Gardens.
"Tickets always sell out fast, so I would remind anyone hoping to go along not to leave it too late".
The Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra and special guests will also perform in Rochester Castle Gardens on Saturday 20 July, with a finale of fireworks and flag waving favourites including Land of Hope and Glory, Rule Britannia and the 1812 Overture.
More headline acts performing at the concerts will be announced in the coming weeks.
Tickets for Status Quo cost £35, while tickets for the Castle Proms cost £30. They will go on sale on Monday 21 January at 10am.
