Stargazing Live with the BBC at Chatham Grammar School for Boys

The public are invited to join in the BBC's Stargazing Live night at Chatham Grammar School for Boys on Wednesday.

Enjoy the night sky with the BBC Stargazing Live at Chatham Grammar School for Boys on Wednesday.
The school science department will be hosting the astronomy event in conjunction with BBC "Stargazing Live" and the South East Astronomical Society.
Activities taking place will include a talk by the S.E.A.S, rocket and lantern launches, a planetarium display, access to computer simulations and websites, a telescope clinic and the chance to use telescopes.
The event is open to everyone and visitors are welcome to bring their own telescopes. Start time is 5pm and the event will finsih at 9pm. Parking (free) and refreshments (for sale) will be available and warm clothing and torches are recommended!
According to the BBC, last year's event saw planispheres and telescopes selling out, as apparently 40,000 people took part across 341 venues! Over 5000 astronomy based questions were emailed to the programme, along with more than 700 astro-photos, while a record breaking 2.3 million people have downloaded the Stargazing Live Star Guide from the website so far!
