Another new shop has opened up, this one in the building at the corner of Crow Lane, which used to be Destinys gift shop.

Serendipity still retains gift items but has added coffee, cupcakes, jewellery - and body piercing! It may seem an unusual combination, but not when you think about the market they're aimed at. What nicer way to let a new piercing settle down than over a cupcake and coffee or browsing through gift items? And, as well as jewellery for sale, Serendipity will also undertake repairs.

Owner Anita has lived in Rochester for 18 years and has relocated the body piercing studio from Strood to the high street, taking over the store with co-owner Anna to bring their businesses together under one roof.

If you are considering a piercing, there are plenty of information sheets on hand in the downstairs studio for advice and guidance, together with the required practical training certificates. For mums convenience, there's also a highchair available!

The shop has a lovely warm atmosphere and with Anita, Anna and Jody on hand to welcome you in, take a look next time you're there.
