Rochester teen charged after Wainscott robbery

A 17-year-old boy from Rochester has been charged following a report of a robbery in Wainscott.

Police were called to a shop in Wainscott Road at about 9.40pm on Friday 25 January.

Officers arrested the 17-year-old boy the next day.

He has been charged with robbery and has been remanded in custody.

The teenager was due to appear at Medway Youth Court yesterday.

A 13-year-old boy, also from Rochester, has been arrested in connection with the incident. 

He has been bailed until 25 March pending further enquiries.
