Rochester teen arrested for alleged attempted murder in Gillingham

A TEENAGER from Rochester has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was taken to hospital with a suspected stab wound.

A 28-year-old man was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital
Police were called to Windmill Road, Gillingham, at about 2.50am on New Year's Day following an alleged assault by a group of about seven people.
An injured 28-year-old man was attended to by paramedics, while officers made two arrests nearby; a 17-year-old boy from Rochester and a 20-year-old man from Gillingham.
Paramedics took the man to Medway Maritime Hospital, where he was treated for the wound in his left thigh.
He remains there in a stable but life threatening condition.
Police are asking anyone who may have heard or witnessed the alleged assault, or anyone with any information about what happened, to contact them by calling 101.
