Thomas Aveling are celebrating their best ever 'A' Level results.
Speaking in the 6th Form Centre, where students were collecting their results, a clearly proud Mr Jackson said: "There's a good spread across the board and a quick look through suggests the majority will have their first choice of Uni, both locally and around the country, with students going on to courses covering everything from Maths, Law, Performing Arts and Zoology!"
Neither the UCAS website being down first thing due to the nationwide log on nor a temporary short power cut dimmed dim the students joy at Thomas Aveling this morning, with Careers Adviser and School Project Manager, Paul Wintle, adding: "According to UCAS yesterday, if students received the grades they need, they should get their university of choice."
The school will now look ahead to celebrating in similar fashion when next week's GCSE results are released.
