Police hunt thief who stole £6k Omega watch from Rochester jewellers: CCTV image released

POLICE hunting a thief who stole an Omega watch worth £6k from a Rochester jewellers have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to.

Officers were called to reports of a theft at Kaizen Antiques in the High Street at 1.35pm on Saturday 2 March.

A man reportedly entered the shop and asked to look at an Omega Seamaster watch. 

After looking at the watch briefly, he moved towards the door before running out onto the High Street, in the direction of Northgate.

Staff from the shop chased him to Gas House Road before they lost sight of him.

Police have now released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

The suspect has been described as a white man, aged between 20 and 25, 5ft 11ins tall, of medium build with short black hair. 

He was wearing a blue polo t-shirt, grey hooded top, grey jogging bottoms and light coloured trainers.

Kent Police ask anyone with information to contact PC Paul Withrington on 101 quoting reference XY/6715/13.
