Medway night out makeover clip gains nearly 7000 YouTube hits in just four days

A VIDEO showing how to get ready for a night out in Medway has proved an internet hit - just four days after it was uploaded.

Since it was uploaded on Sunday, nearly 7000 people have viewed the clip, titled 'How To Get Ready For A Night Out: Medway Style'.

Gillingham resident Kate Payne uploaded the video, which shows her layering on fake tan, and make up including three different types of mascara.

She starts the 9-and-a-half-minute long tutorial by saying: "To begin with, don't even bother having a shower, because no amount of water will make you clean. Just treat yourself to a fresh pair of undies or a little bit of deodorant."

The video has attracted more than 13,000 likes on Facebook, and thousands of people have left comments on a page set up specifically for Miss Payne's future tutorials.

Sarah Smith wrote: "Haha my friend just sent me the video and as a Medway girl (thankfully a tan-less, flat haired, one ivory coloured foundation kinda girl) I found it HILARIOUS. Good on ya :-)"

Leigh Edwards commented: "Looks like almost every girl I ever tried pulling at Casino's in Rochester :) Hilarious!"

In a bid to avoid attracting negative comments on the clip, Miss Payne added a disclaimer to the video. She said: "I merely made this for a laugh, and hopefully you did laugh! However, please do not take this seriously, because that really would make you a wrongen. 

"And I'm sure you're beautiful just as you are."
