Medway Films - just for fun!
By jayenolan | Thursday, February 16, 2012, 13:24
Myself and a few other Medway Twitter users had an enormous amount of fun a couple of weeks ago, tweeting film titles that could have been made in Medway - I thought I'd share them with you so you could have a play!
-
#Medway Films: Paint Your Thomas Waghorn
-
#Medway Films: The Amhurstville Horror
-
#Medway Films: Star Wars Episode 4: A New Road
You probably know I'm a big fan of Twitter and one of the fun activities is the hastag (#) trend - you see it down one side of your timeline and you can join in, so your tweets about a particular subject also appear in a separate timeline. You often hear the general media talking about a 'trending topic' on Twitter - this is what they're referring to. For example, the tragic case of #WhitneyHouston this week was a top trend but #scriptchat is an ongoing hashtag for writers. It not be a top trend but always has a very healthy timeline.
To give you an idea of how to play, my suggestions for #Medwayfilms included: Paint Your Thomas Waghorn; Star Wars Episode 4 - A New Road; The Breakfast Cumin Club; Butch Cassidy and Sunlight Kid; The Kingsnorth Speech; X-Men- The Last Strand; Cooling Hand Luke and Annie Halling - easy, isn't it?
And here are some of my favourites from the timeline:
ME4 Writer @Roy_Smith - The Evil Med 3: Army of Hempstead
Sunlight DJ @fizzerrippon - Nightmare on Elm Court (another of mine was She Wore a Yellow Fizzer Ribbon!)
Cllr. Chris Irvine, @cgi65 - The Horsted Whisperer
Local party activist and Wabuloo expert @John_M_Ward - For Hoo the Bell Tolls
American minister @willgrady - High Halstow Society
Bookworm @janeylowrey - Wainscott's World
Kent businessman @eppers1975 - The Sittingbourne Identity; Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spyglass and Kettle
Multimedia graduate @browntownlad - Jackson Field of Dreams
Labour councillor @vincemaple - Darland Before Time; Sex and the City Bid
Gills fan @alanpstubbs - Twydaller on the Roof
Valiant in the face of pudding @sad19 - The Amhurstville Horror
Unsociable so and so @shoegazer41 - The Canterbury Street Tales
Pea fan @peasoneday - Shorne of the Dead; Strood, where's my car?
There were more, so many more, but I'd be here all day - feel free to add on any you think of :)
