Jools Holland and The Proms confirmed for 2012 Rochester Castle Concerts

Cooling Castle resident, Jools Holland, along with his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra, are returning to the Rochester Castle Concerts in 2012.

Jools will perform on Wednesday 18th July to herald the beginning of the five day musical extravaganza in the fantastic setting of Rochester Castle Gardens. A special guest is yet to be announced - Jools has previously been joined on stage by Lulu, Marc Almond, Ruby Turner and Martin Fry.

The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra will once again set Rochester alight vsiually and aurally on Saturday 21st, with the rousing Prom concert. If you haven't been to it, GO! It's a brilliant night, rounded off with an immense fireworks display and the knee jangling Land of Hope and Glory Bobbing Finale! I made that title up, but it's what everyone does and I felt it deserved one!

Other acts will be announced in the new year - last year we had N-Dubz, Peter Andre and Squeeze, so I'm very much looking forward to seeing who will be headlining in 2012.
