What began as a small group of neighbours getting together to improve the look of their front gardens is rapidly growing into a thriving community group.

'Full Frontal', which began in Longley Road, Rochester, has now spread to surrounding streets where many of the 'frontals' of the Victorian houses are a blaze of colour. Nearby Clive Road's 'Full Frontal' group is already supported by more than two-thirds of its residents despite being in existence for less than three months. And now its 'frontals' are set to look even more impressive thanks to a £100 donation by the founding group in Longley Road.
Fern Alder, who started the Longley Road group, handed over the cheque to Clive Road resident Maria Ingram, who said:
"We have made so much progress in the few months that we have been established, and are extremely pleased with the way our neighbours have become involved in the progress of our community group. Not only is our road looking so much more attractive but a real sense of community is building up.
"This donation will be spent wisely to enable the residents in Clive Road to be proud of our street and the neighbourhood that we live in and enable us to progress with making our "frontals" in Clive Road look spectacular."
Fern added: "It's fantastic how Full Frontal has taken off. If people living in other streets are interested in forming a similar group we would love to hear from them. The benefits can be enormous in terms not only of visually-enhancing areas but helping to build a spirit of community which means so much to people."
